The lakes in Algonquin Park are still mostly ice covered, and there’s still quite a bit of snow in the bush. On some trails spikes are a good idea because of icy areas. Yesterday it reached 11°C, but it was extremely windy. Lots of songbirds out, and there was a Sandhill crane sighting in the park. The Canada Jay pictured below is 11 years old.
