Skunked two nights in a row. Both aurora forecasts couldn’t have been more wrong. At least it was cold and wet. 6°C and everything was soaked from dew.
This was supposed to be full of green, red, and purple…
At least I got to see some stuff:
Below is Messier 101, the Pinwheel galaxy. It’s extremely faint, but doable with a 300mm lens if you can find it.
The pictures below taken with a 200mm lens:
Messier 45, the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters.
Messier 33, the Triangulum galaxy wasn’t visible without binoculars. It used to be darker up there.
Messier 31, The Andromeda Galaxy always a good target.
And finally the Double Cluster in Perseus.
Fuckin’ astronomy. Stick with model railroading.
