Technical issues tonight, but I got them. This was a bit of a test run, and I positioned myself poorly. Better luck next time.

Arrived in time to see the belt of Venus, and some autumn colours

I wasn’t sure how big the tail would be, so I shot very wide. It wasn’t visible naked eye, and was barely a smudge in binoculars. Didn’t have much time before it got into the trees. Mornings are probably a better option. There are a ridiculous number of satellites in every frame.

There were some high thin clouds in the west, but the rest of the sky was clear. The Milky way was very nice. Nice little tail.
