First Light

First light for me anyway. This cardboard box is probably over 100 years old. Considering the condition of the fixed focus meniscus lens when I got the camera it’s amazing I got anything at all. A roll of 120 film gets 8 exposures, and the exposure window was a little questionable, so I covered it with a piece of the film carton. The elastics also help keep the door closed. There is a minor light leak somewhere, but it’s not too bad. Composing shots can be difficult, and the images are very soft around the edges. I should probably have used one of the smaller apertures considering the bright sunlight and the white snow. The shutter speed is fixed at who knows… Maybe 1/50th of a second. Still pretty cool, and I’m happy with it.
