Allowance will be needed for the retaining ring as the threads on the shutter are not likely to be long enough to span the full width of the board. Cut that prior to bonding the layers. Paint them flat black.
Wait for the paint to dry… Tighten it to 1/4 turn before it breaks. Click away.
