Ran across a nice family up the Mizzy Lake trail who had no insect repellent. One of the girls must have had 50 mosquito bites on her shoulders. I was wearing my bug shirt, so I gave them my bottle of OFF! The trails are pretty dry, but the mosquitoes are still brutal.
It was the family who pointed out the moose to me. It was about 900 miles across the lake. The snapping turtle was right in the middle of the trail.
