High thin cloud made astronomical observations difficult last night, but the goal was fireflies. Early in the evening, I caught expedition 67 of the International Space Station. Last time I saw Samantha Cristoforetti was in 2015.
Anyway…
- Ontario Temperature: 20°C
- Relative Humidity: 60%
- Wind: 0.0 km/h
- SQM: 21.08
Thanks to Dr. Sara Lewis for help with the identification.
Below is a stack of about thirty 30 second frames with a static background. Star trails are, as my high school art teacher said, “cliché“, or “done to death”.

Might try again tonight, and hopefully see some tau Herculids. Hopefully it’s more of a 2021 Gemenids than a 2014 Camelopardalids. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
